In response to the developing COVID-19 situation and ongoing UK government advice, we would like to share details of Ferguson Mann Architects’ current response strategy.
Ferguson Mann have a comprehensive and robust business continuity plan that we are now implementing as part of the impact of COVID-19 to ensure that the health risks to our staff are minimised and that we continue to service the requirements of our clients. The potential social and business impact of the COVID-19 is, of course, unprecedented and we will continue to review and update our plans considering evolving circumstances and government guidance.
We are endeavouring to maintain ‘business as usual’.
The majority of our key IT systems are cloud-based with flexible remote access solutions to enable staff to work remotely if required and to reduce significantly the number of personnel that need to commute. We have initiated a working from home policy for all our staff and are working remotely with immediate effect.
Site visits will be carried out on a risk-assessed basis and following the principle of minimising contact as far as possible. All face-to-face meetings are now being conducted remotely unless deemed absolutely business critical, in which case social distancing measures and hygiene protocols are being strictly observed.
We continue to adhere to WHO, UK Government and NHS guidance for minimising any possible spread of infection in our workplaces.
If we believe that an employee has contracted the virus, any affected clients or contacts will be informed as soon as possible. The individual’s workload and responsibilities will be assessed and redistributed accordingly.
