We are delighted that the expansion of the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil has received Arts Council funding as well as approval in principle by South Somerset District Council to proceed with the scheme.
FMA, Charcoalblue and the theatre management team worked together to develop a proposal to transform their extremely well used and popular theatre. The project, led by renowned theatre consultants Charcoalblue, will allow the building to reach its full potential. The proposals involve reordering of the auditorium to increase and enhance seating and visitor experience; improvements to the back of house and the technical side of the theatre are also included.
The theatre team also have an aspiration to offer more to the wider local community in the form of a new dance studio, cinemas, and new dining areas.
