Refurbishment of two 1950’s buildings totalling 50,000sqft of industrial space in Brighton to provide flexible workspace units.

The factories at the Hyde were designed to provide relief to the congested areas in the centre of town but today are in a state of disrepair.

FMA’s proposals gave the Hyde a modern look by upgrading the existing fabric, sub-dividing the internal spaces and adding painted super-graphics to define the different business units. Cohesion is created between the unit facades through a new co-ordinated colour palette.

The works also included re-roofing, creating new entrances, re-configuring circulation, alterations to services, new landscaping, and general building repairs.
