A new chapter for the Whitfield Tabernacle begins as the new mezzanine and first floors are installed.

The new mezzanine will be reinstated at the same level as the original that was constructed in the 19th Century, and has since been lost. This will provide lost floor space to create more options for the use of the building, securing a viable economic future alongside the low-energy operation.

The next step will be the installation of roof ventilation with heat recovery, and, with support from Historic England – the construction of a new entrance lobby extension which will make the upper floors accessible for the first time in over 30 years.
