Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, FMA led the design and delivery of the recently completed works at the new Prime by Pasture restaurant in central Bristol.
The project presented several design challenges including its location within the Redcliffe Conservation area in Bristol. Designs for the shopfronts needed to reflect the local character and to comply with a BREEAM strategy for the larger development. Internally, the fit-out balances the complex requirements of low energy use criteria, airtightness limits and flood defence measures without compromising the attractive space and day-to-day uses.
Additional planning permissions sought to increase the commercial area; adding a mezzanine to provide new office space and a test kitchen overlooking the dining area. These alterations diversified the use of the unit and minimised the impact on other users in the building.
FMA worked in close collaboration with the interior designers to providing a bright, airy, and attractive dining and shopping experience with a variety of wall finishes.
