Refurbishment works at the vacant riverside commercial units in Keynsham to support the council’s efforts to regenerate the town.

FMA worked closely with the client to deliver the fit-out of the vacant units in support of the regeneration of the town, with practical completion achieved in June 2026. The commercial units were outdated and needed an overhaul to bring them up to modern standards. Limited demolition was prioritised to preserve the existing fabric and to retain interesting features such as the columns and archways.

The refurbishment works have created four new self-contained units and the local community has shown its support in favour of the proposals. A dance school, pilates studio and children’s soft play cafe are set to occupy some of the units which will be a significant boost to the health and wellbeing offering in Keynsham.

We would like to thank B&NES, Skeletal Consulting Engineers, Method Consulting, Atkins and Vinci Construction who collaborated with us on this project.
