The repair and refurbishment and conversion of a Listed home and the addition of new houses on the site.
The repair and refurbishment of a Grade II Listed Georgian villa into four residential apartments and the introduction of six new houses and three new apartments, all in a conservation area.
Ferguson Mann Architects were appointed to return the site back to residential use, following a refused application by another architect. Our approach was to demolish a 1960s office extension to the existing villa and introduce a group of new buildings organised around a new public mews. The new buildings comprised a single ‘gate’ house, five townhouses in the form of a terrace and a new villa that contained three apartments. All constructed using coloured render and roofed in natural slate to complement the existing villa.
