Ferguson Mann Architects are starting work on Newark Works, part of the regeneration of Bath Quays with TCN UK, Buro Happold and Bath Council. The Grade II Listed Newark Works were part of the historic works of Stothert & Pitt Ltd, ‘cranemakers to the world’, an internationally renowned firm which was founded in Bath. The buildings have an important legacy as part of the industrial development of the River Avon. The new design will pay homage to the buildings’ industrial past by retaining industrial and historic features whilst their upgrade into a new workspace will see the buildings adapted so that they can house modern working activities.
