A visioning study for a new mixed use, low carbon community on the south western edge of Bristol delivering 25,300m2 of residential accommodation and 11,000m2 of commercial space.
Ferguson Mann Architects were asked to envisage how a collection of family houses and apartments could be accommodated in the site. In the vision study, 77 family houses, and 233 apartments are arranged around a legible street pattern, carefully integrated into the surrounding city network. Shared space predominates the plan.
The development is supported by excellent pedestrian and cycle access, a car club and an energy centre incorporated to deliver local energy generation for the site.
