Ferguson Mann Architects is an architectural practice with a national reputation for award-winning architecture, urban design, conservation and creative regeneration.
We aim to create and conserve special buildings and places that respond to the context and the client’s objectives, always guided by the principles of sustainability. We have a clear focus on both design excellence and adding value to projects.
Our skill and experience in architecture, urban design and conservation crucially enables us to meet many of the challenges faced in regeneration – from the creative reuse of individual buildings to masterplanning whole city quarters.
As designers we choose not to be constrained by any one architectural style. Instead, we produce distinctive, practical buildings, clearly of their time, that are well detailed and constructed, and responsive to the site and the client’s vision.
Everyone in the practice is committed to designing environmentally sustainable buildings and places. Seeking low carbon solutions across all our work is a challenge that allows us to push boundaries and think creatively. We see every project that we engage with as a chance to make a difference to its life performance.
We fully support the use of the BREEAM benchmark schemes and in the early stages of a project use an interactive environmental matrix to assist client teams in setting a project’s initial environmental goals. This forms an integral part of our ISO 14001 accreditation process.
Since 1978, when the practice was established, the quality of our work has been recognised across a range of awards including National RIBA Awards, RICS Conservation Awards, Civic Trust Awards, Housing Design awards and numerous regional design awards.
