The Final Frontier April, 2016

The final phase of a seven year programme of repairs to the Clifton Suspension Bridge commenced in Spring 2016. As Conservation Architects for the work, FMA will continue to monitor and advise on the the ongoing stone repair work.

The first phase of the works carried out between 2010-2012 saw the repair of the abutments and balustrades whilst the current phase of works to the towers includes repairs to stonework, cast iron cappings and roofs. The Clifton Tower was completed in 2015 with the ongoing works to the Leigh Woods Tower due for completion in late summer 2016.
