David qualified in 1983 and joined the practice in 1988.  As a director he is responsible for design leadership, and several practice management areas. He has held teaching posts at the University of Central England and the University of West of England. He gained early experience as project architect on two large listed woollen mill conversion projects in Gloucestershire and since joining FMA has contributed across the board as project leader on many schemes with awards attributed to; Rosemoor Visitor Centre, At-Bristol Squares and Spaces, Royal William Yard (Clarence and Brewhouse), Knightstone Island and Lakeshore. He has contributed to many of the practice’s urban design roles and all the key creative re-use projects undertaken by the practice.
