Industrial icon Iron Bridge, Shropshire December, 2016

Ferguson Mann Architects are delighted to be working on the conservation of the Iron Bridge in Shropshire with the newly formed English Heritage Trust and the Morton Partnership, structural engineers. The project involves the conservation of the cast iron structure of the world’s first iron bridge (erected in 1779), masonry repairs to abutments, resurfacing the deck and repainting, all part of a major £1.25m conservation project.
