Chipping Sodbury is a small market town in South Gloucestershire. It is characterised by its broad High Street with many late medieval gabled buildings and a grid of narrow burgage plots leading away from the centre. The historic core contains 150 Listed buildings and is a conservation area.

FMA was responsible for a scheme to create an attractive route from a new Waitrose supermarket to the High Street, breathing new life into the dilapidated historic site. The buildings on the High Street were refurbished and the very ordinary workshops of a former builders yard were converted into shops. The garaging in the centre of the site was converted into ‘lock up’ units evolving into a successful mini market.
