Repairs to the stone towers and abutments of the Grade I Listed Clifton Suspension Bridge designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel between 1829-31.

Due to the scale and complexity of the access arrangements the repair works were phased to be carried out over a number of years. The first phase of the work, carried out between 2010-12, entailed repairs to the abutments on the Leigh Woods and Clifton sides of the bridge. Repairs included removal of cement pointing, repointing in lime mortar, calcite removal, mortar repairs and limited stone replacement.

The second phase of repairs to the towers took place between Spring 2015 and Summer 2016.
