New masterplan for St Michael’s Estate in Bridport to include mixed-use redevelopment, new houses and refurbishment of existing buildings.

The St Michael’s Trading Estate was at the heart of the late 19th Century and early 20th Century rope and net making industry in Bridport. FMA have submitted planning applications for a mixed-use redevelopment of the Estate that includes the demolition of low-grade industrial units, the construction of 48 new dwellings and 35 apartments, the regeneration of light industrial accommodation, with the provision of new commercial floor space and the refurbishment of the historic buildings. Improvements to the public realm include a riverside walk and a market place.
