This project is a model for environmental sustainability achieving BREEAM Ecohomes ‘Excellent’ rating for all accommodation.

Passive design measures include utilising natural daylight deep into the building via the atria, also aiding ventilation of apartments by stack effect. On-site renewable energy production is via 88 100m deep bore holes providing ground source heating and cooling, working with a biomass boiler installation to deliver underfloor heating throughout the development using a community heating main employing heat meters and heat pumps within each demise area.
