Different cladding materials further emphasise the change in scale and break down the city block. The Hobart wing is finished in zinc interlocking tiles, the Phoenix wing in vertical pre-patinated copper panels and the link buildings on George Place, together with the Millbay Road townhouses, are rendered.

Principle materials are complemented with timber cladding, composite aluminium/timber windows, and metal balconies.

The project has been developed in line with English Partnerships criteria and is set to achieve an EcoHomes ‘Very Good’ rating.
